PLA bags are made from plant-based materials such as cornstarch and are classified as biodegradable and commercially compostable.
They are a great alternative to regular plastics, our bags are made from Cornbase compostable bioplastics. PLA (polylactic acid) is made from the sugars in corn starch. They are biodegradable, carbon-neutral, and compostable under the right conditions.
